Well, hello there!
I’m Stephanie Moore
I’m a dietitian, wife, foodie, body love advocate, and I’m obsessed with all things pineapple!
I’m devoted to sharing with you how to nourish your life in all aspects, from the food that you eat to how you think about your body.
But, first – let’s back up a bit. I wasn’t always living a nourished life. I remember being a small child and worrying about my waist line. I admired my neighbor’s athleticism but most of all how thin she was. I was always preoccupied with thoughts on how I should do better and be better. My mom even jokes how I wouldn’t stray from the blanket at the beach or in the yard because I didn’t like getting my hands dirty.
Fast forward to my teenage years – my struggle with poor body image and perfectionism really began to rear its ugly head. Puberty was hard! I wasn’t able to live up to my own expectations and I quickly turned to calorie restriction as a method of coping. I spent hours scouring the internet and fitness magazines looking for tips on how to lose weight. It took years of healing but I learned to appreciate food for the nourishment it provides, whether physically or emotionally. The health journey I have been on is not over yet and never will be. That’s the beauty of it. We are all learning how to live a more healthy and balanced life, and I’m here to share this journey with you!
Now that I spend less time thinking about how to make myself smaller, I have more time to do the things I LOVE! Like, long walks with my hubby, Michael. Or, playing the piano. Or, kayaking. Or, looking at puppy videos. Or, creating new recipes in the kitchen…and then eating them! And, sharing with all of you how to live a larger life. A life that is more fulfilling and happy – which dieting will never accomplish.
